Refresh menu screenshots

Run from the website checkout:

sh
npm run screenshots
npm run build

This regenerates every on-screen menu image referenced by the settings pages and guides under /images/menu/ and /images/screen-configuration/. Vendor download pages, operating-system tools, and processor web-interface images are separate captures.

The command requires Python 3, Cargo, uv, and a configured processor Meson build with the config_reconciliation_tests target. By default it uses the sibling ../processor checkout and its buildDir. Set VOIDVIDEO_PROCESSOR_ROOT and VOIDVIDEO_BUILD_DIR to use different locations.

The capture tests use the current menu renderer, exported configuration-owner defaults, the tone-mapping plugin’s menu schema, and explicit example display capabilities. They do not launch the processor or access capture hardware. Screen-configuration images include the example scope-screen setup used in the guides.

If the generated theme adapters are stale, update them from processor/design/theme.json with the processor’s scripts/generate_theme.py before rerunning.

All images render into a temporary directory. The installer checks every referenced screenshot before copying any images into the site. A missing screenshot fails the command and leaves the existing images in place. After a successful run, review and commit the changed images along with any related documentation changes.

refresh-settings-screenshots.sh delegates to the same complete refresh so a settings-only run cannot leave the guide menus on an older theme.
