Anamorphic Lens Setup

This page appears only when A-Lens was selected under Projector & Optics. It configures anamorphic image preparation; it is separate from optical distortion correction.

Select the lens behavior

Choose the stretch factor specified by the installed lens. Common factors such as 1.25× and 1.33× describe the lens, not the physical-screen ratio.

Then select how the lens is installed:

  • Fixed keeps the lens in the light path. Void Video must compensate both Scope and non-Scope content before projection so the lens does not leave narrower content horizontally stretched.
  • Movable uses a sled or other mechanism. Scope content can engage the lens; non-Scope content can disengage it and use the normal projector raster. If Void Video cannot control the mechanism, the menu requests confirmation before changing presentation mode.

Understand the two image shapes

The projector first produces its full native 16:9 or 16:10 raster. Void Video prepares Scope content within that native raster for the configured lens factor. The physical lens then expands the projected image horizontally so it reaches the saved Scope screen with the correct proportions.

The preview labels the native projector raster and the physical Scope result separately. This page configures aspect preparation only. It does not correct barrel or pincushion distortion.
