6. Automatic Behavior
Automatic Behavior is optional and comes after Fit, Fill/Crop, or NLS. It changes when a saved presentation is applied; it does not change the calibrated screen geometry.
Handle changing aspect ratios
Some movies and shows change aspect ratio during playback. Choose the response that matches how you want to watch them:

| Fill | Favors the saved Fill or NLS coverage behavior |
| Lock Current | Holds the current framing until you release it |
Transition Delay waits for a detected change to settle. Minimum Hold prevents rapid changes from repeatedly resizing the image.
Keep subtitles visible
Enable Subtitle Safe when subtitles may appear in an area removed by Fill/Crop or NLS. Void Video temporarily reveals the required area, then waits for Subtitle Hold before returning to the saved presentation.
Keep source controls visible
Enable Source OSD Safe for playback controls or messages produced by the source device. OSD Hold controls how long the required area remains visible after the source overlay disappears.
Review and save
Use Test Ratios to preview common content shapes and Compare to inspect the unmodified image. Save Presentation stores the presentation and automatic behavior separately from the screen installation.
After saving, the final page summarizes the screen installation, presentation mode, and automatic behavior. This example shows a completed 2.40 Scope profile.
The next time you open Screen Configuration, this active-screen summary opens first. Select a section to edit it directly; the first-time setup flow does not repeat.
