Physical Lens Alignment

Complete Anamorphic Lens Setup, engage the lens, and display the alignment pattern. Anamorphic preparation remains active throughout this step.

Align the mount

1. Confirm that the projector itself is level and square to the screen.
2. Adjust the lens-mount height until the projector beam passes through the center of the lens.
3. Adjust lens yaw, pitch, and roll until the pattern is level and centered.
4. Confirm the mechanical adjustments before applying any software correction.

Physical alignment removes problems that software should not hide. If the aligned pattern still shows barrel or pincushion curvature, continue to Lens Distortion Correction. If its lines are straight, leave distortion at None and continue.
